Updating cabinet hinges

I have also been compensated for the materials needed for my DIY project.

However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.

They’ve been nice and white for a few weeks now and I am still blown away with how much brighter and more up to date the whole room looks.

So instead, I started making a plan to update the older-style hinges we already had. And not a beautiful antique brass, but more like brass that had been soaking up kitchen grease for 40 years.

1) Buy longer screws or 2) countersink the screw heads. I didn't have a countersink drill bit, so I drilled a shallow hole slightly wider than the screw head with a large bit and then went back and drilled a second smaller hole all the way through the door.

Last week I shared my freshly painted kitchen cabinets.

Choosing where to install the cup pulls was easy (dead center of the drawers) and the knobs were easy too, but determining where I wanted to put the upper pulls was tougher.

Nothign a little double sided tape can't remedy: I also had the problem that the screws provided with the hardware weren't long enough to go through the thick cabinet doors, so I had two options.
